Umrah from the UK, arranged with care

We plan Umrah for British Muslims the way we would plan it for our own parents: honest prices in pounds, hotels named upfront and someone to call when you need help.

Quran Travels is a small, independent UK team that focuses on one thing: helping families, couples, elders and groups across Britain travel for Umrah with peace of mind. You choose the package, we arrange flights, hotels, transport and the visa application, and stay in touch while you are away.

  • Flights from UK airports
  • Hotels named before you pay
  • Visa application handled for you
  • Guided Ziyarat in both cities
  • WhatsApp support during the trip
  • Help for elders and first timers

Questions British pilgrims ask us

Straight answers about packages, protection, visas, payments and the journey itself.

Ask us anything
Are your prices per person?

Yes. Every price is per person in pounds sterling. Most starting prices are based on four people sharing a room (quad). Triple and double rooms cost more per person, and each package page shows those prices where available.

Which UK airports do you fly from?

Most packages fly from London Heathrow, London Gatwick, Manchester or Birmingham. We can also arrange flights from Glasgow, Edinburgh, Leeds Bradford, Newcastle, East Midlands, Bristol, Liverpool and Cardiff, usually with one connection.

How do I book?

Send an enquiry from any package page or use the quote form. We reply with a written offer showing flights, hotels and the total price. To confirm, you pay a deposit and send passport copies. The balance is due before travel, on a date we agree in writing.

Do I need a visa for Umrah?

Yes. British citizens need a visa issued by the Saudi authorities. We prepare and submit the application for you as part of your package. Approval is decided by the Saudi authorities, and rules can change, so we confirm current requirements when you book.

When is the best time to go?

For weather, November to February is the most comfortable. For families, the Christmas holidays and February half-term are popular. In 2027 February half-term falls in Ramadan. Quieter weeks outside school holidays are usually the cheapest.

Can you help elderly parents or wheelchair users?

Yes. We recommend hotels very close to the Haram, request airport assistance and can arrange wheelchairs for Tawaf and Sa'i. Tell us about any mobility needs when you enquire.

Which vaccinations do I need?

Saudi health requirements change from time to time. The meningococcal ACWY vaccine has been required for Umrah pilgrims in many seasons. Speak to your GP or a travel clinic, check NHS fitfortravel guidance, and we will remind you before travel.

Do the prices include flights?

Unless a package is marked as land only, the price includes a return economy flight from the UK airport shown, with taxes. Airfares change daily, so we confirm the exact fare when you book.

Is my Umrah package financially protected?

By law, any UK company selling packages that include flights must provide ATOL protection, and you should receive an ATOL Certificate as soon as you pay anything. Always ask for the ATOL number and check it on the CAA website before paying any company, including us.

How can I pay?

We accept debit and credit cards and bank transfer, and we always give you a written receipt. Paying part of the cost by credit card can give you extra protection under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act. We never ask for cash only payments.

How long should my Umrah trip be?

Most British pilgrims choose 7 to 14 nights, split between Makkah and Madinah. A week works well with school holidays, and the shorter flight from the UK means less time lost to travel.

Can women travel for Umrah without a mahram?

Saudi rules have allowed adult women to travel for Umrah without a mahram since 2021. Scholars differ on the religious ruling, so many families still prefer a mahram. We are happy to place sisters travelling without a mahram in one of our group trips.

What happens if I need to cancel?

Your rights are set out in the Package Travel Regulations and in your booking conditions. Before you pay, we give you the cancellation terms in writing so you know exactly what is refundable. Travel insurance is strongly recommended.

Are you connected to the Saudi government?

No. Quran Travels is an independent private UK travel company. We are not affiliated with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, the Nusuk platform or any government body.
